It seems that horse and carriage rides are continuing to run from Tenby's Tudor Square after all... but from a different stable, as it were!

Last week, we carried a brief report from the Town Council stating that, after 30 years in business, the attraction would not be returning this year, which it was felt would be a sad loss for the resort.

However, Carriages in the Park, a Pembrokeshire-based company, contacted our offices this week to say that they had now taken up the reins and would be continuing the tradition, so ably provided by their predecessors for so many years.

"Despite the chilly weather over Easter, we were in attendance throughout," said Kate Telford for the company. "Our range of carriages and services are known throughout west and south Wales, but we are proud to carry on the tradition in Tenby.

"Already the horses, Lou Lou and Leila, have a following! Our liveried staff and decorated carriage add to the festive air! We look forward to providing years of service to the visitors to this historic town of which we are so proud."
