Popular carriage horse 'Darling' gave a tour of the streets of Tenby for the final time on Wednesday morning.

The Clydesdale breed of horse has been carting tourists and locals around for 12 years, before finally retiring to put her hooves up at home.

Owner and carriage operator John Dooner, who has run the renowned rides for 22 years, said 'Darling' deserves the well-earned rest.

"She's been a super horse and has featured on numerous postcards and television programmes over the years. People who come on the rides now with their children, remember when their parents used to take them on the same carriage tour," he said.

John's other horse, 'Duke', will continue the rides until the end of the season, with a replacement horse for 'Darling' lined up to share the duties for next summer.
