The annual Carols by Torchlight service at the Bishop's Palace, St. Davids takes place this (Friday) evening, when the torchlit procession, led by members of the Roch Choir, leaves the Merrivale Car Park at 7 pm.

Within the precincts of the floodlit ruins the singing will be accompanied by faithful supporters, the Goodwick Brass Band, with children from local schools taking part in the service while, by popular request, the guest artist will again be Mrs. Julie Archer. Warming punch and coffee with mince pies will be available in the Undercroft after the service.

This very popular event which attracts people from all over the county and further afield is organised in conjunction with CADW by the Pembrokeshire branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Admission is by programme (£1) and all proceeds go to support the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust which, next year, marks the 40th anniversary of its formation.
