Sir, Through your newspaper, I would like to remind locals and visitors alike that Tenby Firemen's Annual Summer Carnival, which has been running for over 80 years, is being held on Wednesday, August 6. The day starts at the fire station at 10.30 am with a coffee morning and cake stall; also there will be children's rides, raffle stall, BBQ, face painting, guess the weight of the pig and more. Proceeds from this go towards the Firefighters National Benevolent Fund. Then at 5.45 pm, 'with the atmosphere building,' the carnival parade will start from Tenby railway station, led by the Swansea East Display Band, followed by children/adults walking entries and decorated floats. If anyone wishes to enter a float/ van into the carnival, but cannot get one, we will do our best to provide one for you. If anyone feels that they could give a donation, or raffle prize towards this worthy cause, please contact (01834) 842222 any Tuesday between 7 and 9 pm. We would be very grateful.
