Firefighters from Tenby are busy finalising their fun-packed programme of events for this year's Carnival Day.
Taking place on Wednesday, August 1, the day will begin with a coffee morning and various activities at the fire station in South Parade. There will be various attractions, including face painters, balloons and a burger stall, as well a community fire safety display stand, with plenty of information and advice on home fire safety.
Sponsored by Tenby House Hotel, the carnival itself begins at 5.15 pm from the station yard, and firefighters are once again appealing for children and adults to take part as both walking entrants and with floats.
"Anyone can enter as long as they don't mind getting wet," said secretary of the station's brigade benevolent fund, Kris Steele.
"We are hoping that there will be a good turnout of entrants and are appealing for anyone interested in taking part to come forward. It is going to be a wet carnival again, but we ask that no water bombs are thrown."
All carnival entrants are asked to meet at the station yard at 4.30 pm for judging. The carnival will wend its way around the town, ending in Tudor Square, where the presentation of prizes will take place. For further information, telephone Kris on 07977201968.
