This Dementia Action Week (18-24 May), Carmarthenshire County Council’s Hwb Advisors are working with partner organisations to raise awareness of dementia and the support available in the county.
Throughout the week information on local support and services for carers or those looking for a diagnosis for themselves or a loved one will be available from 10:30am to 3pm on:
- Tuesday 19 May – Carmarthen Hwb
- Thursday 21 May – Llanelli Hwb
- Friday 22 May – Ammanford Hwb
Carmarthenshire County Council staff, along with Hywel Dda UHB will be in attendance, alongside Admiral Nurses; Social Prescriber/Connect Carmarthenshire; Carers Trust; Adferiad and Age Cymru.
No appointment needed, just pop in.
Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Services, Children and Families, Cllr Jane Tremlett, said:
“During this Dementia Action Week, we are working with Hywel Dda UHB and other partners to ensure everyone affected by dementia, whether directly or as a carer, knows where they can turn to for help and guidance.”
