JOHNSTON II 0

SAUNDERSFOOT SPORTS II 4

Three strikes from Carl Wainwright helped Saundersfoot Sports' second side to their first away points of the season in a blustery affair at Johnston.

Despite the poor weather conditions, Sports played some good football in the first half and were handed the chance to take the lead when Ben Gray was taken down in the home team's box by a late sliding tackle. Wainwright stepped up to slot home the penalty kick and soon after Jamie Morgan added to the lead with a neat dink over the 'keeper when he was put through one-on-one.

Wainwright put the game out of sight before the break when he curled a free-kick into the top corner from just outside the area, giving Johnston a damage limitation exercise in the second-half.

The home team managed to keep the scoring down, with their 'keeper making some fine saves after the interval, but Wainwright was given the chance to complete his hat-trick when Peter Bailey squared the ball to him in the six-yard area and the midfielder made no mistake with the finish.
