If you care for someone and could do with some extra help or information about what support is available, then Carers Week (June 6-12) could prove very useful.

The Carers Support Services Network in Pembrokeshire is organising a programme of activities in different locations throughout the week.

Carers will be given information and advice on where and how they can get support, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.

There will be stalls or events at the following locations: Monday, June 6: Newport Market (9 am to 1 pm) and Hakin and Hubberston Community Centre (3-6 pm); Tuesday, June 7: St. Dogmaels Market (9 am to 1 pm) and Bro Preseli Cafe, Crymych (4-5 pm); Wednesday, June 8: Carew Castle (1-6.30 pm) and Young Carers at Carew Castle (4.30-6.30 pm); Thursday, June 9: Fishguard Market (9 am to 1 pm), St. Davids Market (9 am to 1 pm), and Asda Supermarket, Pembroke Dock (11 am to 2 pm); Friday, June 10: Haverfordwest Farmers Market (9 am to 2 pm), Sainsbury’s Supermarket in Tenby (12-3 pm) and St. Davids Well-being Centre, St. Davids (3-5 pm).

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
