Scolton Manor was the destination for the annual summer trip of the Saundersfoot Caring Association. The afternoon began with a most interesting and informative guided tour of the Manor itself. The rest of the afternoon was taken up by visiting the museum, which illustrated the local history of the area, the Eco-Centre, which gave a glimpse of the future, and the fascinating Stable Block with its forge and carpenter's workshop. There was just enough time to visit the Scolton Shop, before enjoying refreshments in the Tea Room and setting off for home. Once again, the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot sponsored the coach and this generous gesture is most appreciated by the committee and members. Thanks were given to Mrs. Rosemary Hayes, chairman of the Caring Association for organising a very enjoyable trip. The Caring Association coffee mornings are held at 10.30 am on the second Monday of the month at the Saundersfoot Sports and Social Club and new faces are always welcome.
