Police have confirmed that a post mortem examination into the tragic death of a man in Kilgetty has revealed he died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Forty-seven-year-old David Norman Brain was found dead in a bedroom at his home, 7 Kerrs Way, on Monday morning. His wife, Sian Alison Brain, was found to be in a distressed state and seriously injured. A former infants school teacher, she was conveyed to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, where her condition is described as 'stable'. Her parents, electrical contractor, Anthony Redford and his wife, live in Ryelands Lane, and have been at her bedside. Emergency services who attended the property shortly after 8.30 am also discovered the couple's pet dog dead. "Police can now confirm that experts from CORGI Services Ltd. attended at the address on Tuesday and carried out tests in relation to the gas boiler and central heating system at the property," said Detective Inspector Jim Morris. "A report will be ultimately submitted to HM Coroner in due course." The couple, who were married two years ago, also ran Pebbles gift and accessories shop in The Strand, Saundersfoot.
