Dyfed Powys Police is targeting car thieves in Tenby, Saundersfoot and Narberth.
Officers have seen an increase in thefts from cars and criminal damage to cars in these areas.
They have highlighted hotspots and are carrying out both high visibility and undercover patrols in the area in a bid to deter and catch the culprits.
Officers have also received additional refresher training in car scene examination to increase the possibility of recovery of forensic evidence.
Sergeant Andrew Leigh-Cattrall said: "The police are targeting these thieves, but we also need the public's help.
"The first thing we ask is that people do not make their vehicles easy targets for thieves. Please remember to remove all valuables and ensure the vehicle is locked, with all windows and sun roofs closed.
"We also ask that the public help us by reporting anything suspicious, either via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
"Lastly, if you are unfortunate enough to have your car broken into, we ask that you do not touch anything so we can ensure we have the best opportunity of gaining evidence to catch those responsible."
