A donation of £514 has been given to the ITU/HDU at Withybush General Hospital by Jeff and Sian Edwards, of the Pembrokeshire County Run.
This money was raised from the sale of Western Telegraph programmes and Chevron baseball caps on the 2008 Run in September and will go towards buying new equipment for the benefit of critically ill patients.
Jeff and Sian, the founders/organisers of the event, were delighted to pass this money on the unit after Jeff when a critically ill patient there 12 months ago had his life saved by the highly skilled and dedicated staff of the unit.
A DVD slideshow of all the vehicles in the 2008 event is available from Pembrokeshire Photography and Vincent Davies, Haverfordwest, with proceeds to the British Heart Foundation and the intensive care unit at Withybush Hospital, priced £10. The 2009 run takes place on Sunday, September 6, and will celebrate the golden jubilee year of the Mini, with Minis from all over the UK leading the grand parade from Milford to Tenby.
