The Cantabile Singers of Pembrokeshire have recently launched their recruitment drive to secure more second soprano and contralto singers.

Cantabile is a female-voice choir based in Haverfordwest and currently has 29 members ranging from 17 to 60 years in age. Members are drawn from all areas of Pembrokeshire and there's even one from Carmarthen! The choir sings a varied repertoire of classics, sacred, secular, but in the main sings a contemporary repertoire of modern composers, including Howard Goodall, John Rutter and Bob Chilcott.

Cantabile has already had some notable successes, with a gala concert held recently at St. David's Cathedral and also at St. Chad's Parish Church in Shrewsbury.

The choir is wishing to recruit members who enjoy singing chorally to a good standard. Unfortunately there are no vacancies currently for 1st sopranos, but they are anxious to secure more mezzos and 'alto singers.

The Cantabile's musical director is well known local musician and teacher Richard Stephens and accompanist is Anna-Louise Tiller, a music teacher in Pembroke. The choir's president is West End star Connie Fisher.
