FORMER airline pilot and instructor, Clive Easton from Llanwrthwl, near Llandrindod Wells, was adopted as the UK Independence Party's prospective Assembly candidate for Mid and West Wales recently. A Freeman of the City of London and Liveryman of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators, Mr. Easton stood in the 1997, 2001 and 2005 General Elections and the last Euro Elections. He is an ardent countryman, a keen sailor, and with his wife, operates a small holiday home business. He has a son who wishes to follow in his footsteps as a pilot.
