When Tenby and Saundersfoot Lions Club recently held a book fair at Tenby's De Valence Pavilion, one of the members of the club discovered an old black and white photo amongst the thousands of books that were donated for sale at the charity event. "The photo which had 1933 marked on the back of it, was discovered in one of the boxes holding the books," said club member, Alan Hicks. "Some of my fellow Lions members believe the person in the photo was Gwyn Robins, but as we're not sure we'd be delighted if someone came forward to clarify this, and indeed, any family members who would like to keep hold of the photo," he added. Apart from the mystery surrounding the photograph, the book fair which was held on Saturday, May 14, was a huge success with a huge amount of books kindly donated, and a lot of money raised for charity. The Lions would like to thank everyone who supported the event and helped make it a success. Meanwhile, anyone who thinks they know the identity of the person featured in the photograph seen here, is asked to contact Lions member, Alan Hicks, on (01834) 871774.
