Shirley Smith from New Zealand is looking for descendants of John Davies and his wife Margaret (née Morris).

They were married in the Parish Church at Narberth on December 5, 1848, and had several children, Thomas 1851, John 1855 (who went to New Zealand in 1872/73), Mary, George, Martha, William and Charles born 1869 and 1871. Margaret was born in Narberth in 1830.

Margaret was buried at Narberth Parish Church on August 28, 1878, and her husband John took Mary and William all the way across to Durham, where he changed his job from boot and shoemaker to fish curer. He died near Blyth around 1902.

Shirley would like to hear from descendants of John Davies who went to New Zealand from Narberth in 1872, had various jobs, several children and lived to the age of 86 years in the City of Christchurch.
