Stan Hudson certainly seems to be the man in form at Tenby Golf Club at the moment (just look elsewhere on this page).
Two weeks ago, meanwhile, he had his first outing with the Chicken Trotters this season - and walked off with top prize.
Last week, he had his second outing with the Trotters - and guess what, yes that's right, he was again sitting pretty on top perch at the end of the day.
And that despite having been consigned to the sin-bin by Chief Chicken Morran and his Chicken committee. Looks like Stan will be in that bin for sometime yet, if he continues in this rich vein of form.
For a long time on Friday, however, it looked like your correspondent was again holder of the winning card, having marked Ken Gouldsbrough's fine effort of 25 points.
Indeed, he was leader in the clubhouse for much of the morning. But the question was asked: Are there any stragglers still out on the course?
Yes, there was one group still to come over the hill and that final fourball contained that man Hudson, who eclipsed Ken's score... by a single point. It was enough, though, to again earn him the major share of the corn and keep him at the top of the pecking order.
At the other end of the scale, John Beechey was another who was experiencing life in the sin-bin, but unlike Stan he couldn't overcome the effects of a five-shot handicap reduction as he picked up the booby prize. Unlucky 13, eh John!
In all, 12 of our feathered friends left the coop on Friday and par for the day was returned at 20. Once again there were no twos, so the Chickens' chief financial adviser, Micky Johnston, was left smiling after another boost for the kitty.
Results: 1. Stan Hudson 26 pts (£1.50); 2. Ken Gouldsbrough 25 pts (£1). Booby - John Beechey 13 pts (30p entry fee returned).
