Sir,
My wife and I, moved to Pentlepoir 20 months ago, from England, near Heathrow. We have retired here and we really love it.
One of my daughters and family have been here seven years, and my son and wife five years.
I am so frustrated for my other daughter and family, who to all our delights, moved into Saundersfoot in March this year.
She is a fully trained midwife (loves the job), but cannot get a position here anywhere, including Haverfordwest, Carmarthen, Swansea, Cardiff. Believe me, she has tried.
My daughter commutes back to Chertsey Hospital, back in England, twice a month. When we mention this to friends and other NHS workers, including doctors, they all say, "but they are crying out for midwives."
My daughter is thinking of giving up midwifery (what a waste) or moving back to England.
Is there anyone who could help or advise?
Desperate to keep family here).
Mick Bourne,
Kilgetty.
