Sir,

My cat was knocked down in Kilgetty last week (Sunday, May 15). He was found on the grass verge opposite the Co-op, quite a way from where I live and I didn't notice he was missing at first as he has always been a bit of a free spirit. We had him for about three years and love him so much, we don't know how we will get along without him.

Unfortunately, the person who knocked him down did not think of calling a vet. If only they knew how their thoughtless actions have hurt us all.

It wasn't until I did some research on the internet, looking for lost animals, that I found out that the council pick up animals which have been knocked down. My partner phoned the council, and he was told our cat was in Templeton depot, which unfortunately he was not; it was another cat. My partner has spoken to a couple of local people who identified our cat from pictures which he showed them.

I need to know where he is as the council have told me that they haven't picked him up, so that means that someone else has done so, possibly on Monday or Tuesday. I really need to get closure here and was hoping that someone may be able to help me in some way.

If anyone knows anything about my cat - I would be grateful if they could contact us.
