Sir,
My wife Kim Price (nee Schofield) trained as a nurse at Central Middlesex Hospital, Park Royal, London, in early the 1970s. I at the time was a young policeman. One day as I was on duty we received a phone call into the station requesing that 12-plus young unattached policemen join a group of like-minded nurses at a house warming party!
Anyway, I arrived with my mates at the time and my eye was caught by the young attractive one called Kim, now my wife. She was stood by a doorway and talking with her friend Beth (Davies or Davis), who hailed from Tenby then. Beth introduced us and made sure we got on and saw each other again, which we did. However, we lost touch with her just before our marriage in 1979.
It's been 30-plus years now and I still remember Beth as the bubbly young Welsh nurse who introduced me to Kim, and would like to trace her and, if possible, meet up with her again. We have had two great sons and now have two grandchildren, and wondered how Beth's future panned out for her?
Can you try and publish this in the hope that she or a relative may recognise her and get us back in touch.
Chris Price,
Wisbech,
Cambs.
