Sir,
In July 1941, a Saundersfoot airman was killed during a Bomber Command operation against a target on the French coast.
He was 19-year-old Grenville Gascoyne Esnouf, whose parents, Reginald and Violet Esnouf, lived at The Glen, Saundersfoot.
Sergeant Esnouf was second pilot of a Halifax bomber which was shot down by the German defences. He is buried, along with four of his crew, at Vendee in France.
On behalf of the Pembroke Dock Museum Trust, I am seeking information on Sergeant Esnouf. If any of your readers knew him or his family, or have any other details, I shall be most grateful if they would contact me.
