Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority planning officers are set to recommend refusal of an application for a mixed commercial and residential development at Saundersfoot's Cambrian Hotel. Planning permission is being sought by the applicants, Stakefield Ltd, for a scheme within the car park to the rear of the hotel comprising of five shops, four maisonettes and 39 flats. The application is due to come before next Wednesday's meeting of the development management committee. However, an officer report to the committee states that the application has not properly considered and addressed the need for an element of affordable housing within the scheme and that the development does not meet the criteria within the JUDP policy.
