Pembrokeshire's Really Wild Festival is getting even wilder with the launch of a Really Wild Run open to everyone!
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the friendliest festival in Britain, held in St. Davids on September 5 and 6, the Really Wild Run will be held for the very first time.
In keeping with the festival's aims of getting everyone back in touch with the countryside, the five miles run will follow a scenic route along bridleways, lanes and coastal paths. The run will take place on Thursday, September 3, at 7 pm, starting and finishing at the Festival Fields in St. Davids, Pembrokeshire. It's open to everyone of all ages, from serious runners to holidaymakers who fancy a bit of fun. Organisers are also aiming to raise money for local hospice, Shalom House.
"This is a great way to have a bit of wild fun and burn off some calories ahead of all the eating at the Really Wild Festival," said Julia Horton Powdrill from the Really Wild Festival. "You don't have to be an athlete, we want everyone to come and see the countryside in a new way. Then come and relax at the festival and watch the pig racing and ferret racing!"
The event kicks-off the Really Wild Festival weekend (September 5 and 6), which is the wildest celebration of culinary delights, rural traditions and story-telling imaginable.
