Are you organising an event which, will attract tourists and boost tourism earnings for Pembrokeshire? If you are, you may qualify for a grant towards your marketing costs, but be quick, as applications close on July 31.
There are two different grants available. The first, for major events taking place between September 2004 and the end of June 2005, is worth up to £17,000. The grant, called 'Major Events Marketing Support', is being administered by the South West Wales Tourism Partnership. The second Events Funding scheme is providing grants for marketing of between £250 and £1,500 to support smaller, local events taking place between September 1 and December 31, 2004. The funding has been made available by the South West Wales Tourism Partnership and is being allocated by Pembrokeshire Tourism.
"Priority will be given to events which will take place every year or every other year," said Pembrokeshire Tourism board member Liz Davies. "This project is part of our campaign to draw tourists into Pembrokeshire outside of the main July to August holiday season and increase visitor spend."
