Beer brewers from around Pembrokeshire are being invited to enter a competition as part of a 'Beer and Cider Festival' in Haverfordwest at the end of next month. The festival, which will be held in the grounds of the castle, will take place over the weekend of July 28 and 29, from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday, and from 11 am to 4 pm on Sunday. The categories for the competition will be - lager, bitter and porter. Prizes will be given out on both days following the judging. Tickets for the event are priced at £3, with the right to compete included with the ticket. Anyone wishing to enter their homemade bottles of brew are asked to contact the event organiser, Richard Blacklaw-Jones, on 01437 769 713, in advance of the competition.
