Pembrokeshire County Council is to be asked to investigate the possibility of giving rate relief to businesses in Tenby, due to the extensive street works that have been carried out over the last few months. Clr. Michael Williams will be submitting the request to full council on Thursday, March 2. "These works have caused extreme difficulties to traders in an already very fragile economic climate," Clr. Williams told the Observer. "The situation has been further exacerbated by the imposition of business rate increases of up to 520 per cent," he added.
