A call for recycling facilities for residents who want to dispose of their Christmas trees after the festive period has been made by a town councillor in Tenby this week.
Clr. Mrs. Maureen Ward said at Tuesday's meeting of the town council that she had been approached by local people who had no idea what to do with their trees after taking them down.
"We need some kind of recycling facility in the area, otherwise, the trees are just going to be thrown over hedges," she said.
The town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, told members that Pembrokeshire County Council provided a chipper service for unwanted trees in the north of the county which was taken to housing estates. Councillors are to ask if the chipper could be brought to the Tenby area for residents after next Christmas.
