As part of their commitment to community and tourist engagement, Dyfed-Powys Police is providing the residents and visitors of Caldey Island with the opportunity to chat to a local Neighbourhood Policing Team representative.
The summer-based initiative will enable members of the community and tourists to meet a member of the Neighbourhood Policing Team and share their concerns and/or ideas.
These surgeries have been organised in response to the increase in visitors Caldey experiences every season, and to provide police reassurance and accessibility.
Sergeant Geraint Lewis said: "It will afford the residents of the island an opportunity to engage with police regarding issues or concerns they have in regard to crime or the prevention of crime on Caldey Island.
"It will also be an excellent chance for the NPT to foster links with a section of Tenby's community that has historically been difficult to reach due to their location.
"We want the residents of the town and visitors to feel safe and confident in the service we provide," he added.
The Tenby neighbourhood Policing Team held its first Police Surgery on Caldey Island yesterday (Thursday) and will be holding the surgeries at 12 noon every first and third Thursday of the month, during the summer period thereafter.
If members of the local community would like to get involved, or raise an issue that concerns them, please contact the Tenby Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.
