IF you want to set yourself a New Year's resolution that will be fascinating, challenging and personally rewarding, why not give your Citizens Advice Bureau in Pembroke Dock a call. They are urgently looking for volunteers to act as advisers and to provide administrative assistance.

The work is perfect for those who have some time on their hands such as those who have recently retired, or parents with children at school for example. In fact, they are looking for people from all walks of life who can commit to approximately six hours voluntary work per week.

Last year they dealt with over 4,500 queries, helping local people resolve their problems by providing information and advice and by influencing local policy makers.

Not only will you make new friends by volunteering, you will also vastly increase your knowledge on such topics as 'Benefits, Employment, Health, Debt, Relationship Issues' and many more as they provide a comprehensive training programme for all their volunteers.

If you'd like to know more, why not call Seretta, Tony or Alison on 01646 683805, or visit them at 10 Meyrick Street, Pembroke Dock. Alternatively, you can call their National Volunteers Line on 08451 264264 (at local rates). They look forward to hearing from you.
