At the Cardiff marathon, Mike Evans, a member of the St. Clears based TROTS Running Club, came third with a fantastic time of two hours 35 minutes. Pat Currie also sucessfully completed it.
Three TROTS ran in the half marathon held at the same time. Ann Rowell and Helen Roberts ran personal best times of one hour 49 minutes and two hours 18 minutes, respectively. Eric Mathias also completed it.
Ann Rowell and Rosie Swales-Pope successfully completed the Cardiff half-marathon.
Six TROTS ran the Cardiff 10K road race. They were Ian and Brian Williams, Cyril Walters, Ron Morgan, Pauline Thomas and Lon Morgan They all ran well, especially Ian, who ran under 35 minutes, and Cyril, who ran just over 40 minutes.
Ian went on to run a Fell race in Alaska, representing Wales.
Mike Hodges successfully completed his fourth marathon this year when he ran in last week's New Forest event.
Thirteen TROTS ran the Swansea 10K road race, joining over 2,000 runners. Mike Evans was 29th. Other TROTS who ran were Evan Williams, Ann Thomas, Cyril Walters, Ron Anthony, Mary Bowen Rees, Ron Morgan, Pauline Thomas, Tom Furness, Lon Morgan, Brian Williams, Helen Roberts and Jeanette Holliday.
Rosie Swales-Pope, a TROT runner, set off last week to run round the world. Members wish her well and look forward to her safe return.
