Cubs and Beavers have been finding out about famous people who lived in Tenby by following a trail around the town to look at all the commemorative plaques and learning a little about the people depicted on them. Thanks go to the museum staff for their assistance in compiling information.

Several Cubs spent a great day out at St. Brides Bay Scout Activity Centre where they had a go at lots of different activities. Thanks to Mr. Dave Butler for his assistance on the day.

A visit to the fire station for the Beavers proved more exciting than usual when the firemen were called out to attend a road traffic accident. Fireman Lee Simon showed the boys around the station and explained the different aspects of a fireman's job and what they should do in the event of a fire in their homes.

Last Thursday, very excited Beavers visited the police station where they were shown around by Sgt. Gary Jones. After being finger-printed, locked in the cells for a minute or so, they were shown what equipment a police officer has to carry on their person.

After asking innumerable questions, they then had a look at the new police van, climbing into the secure area at the rear. It is hoped that none of them end up having to ride in it in later life!

Cubs and Scouts spent an enjoyable evening at Heatherton last Friday, testing their skills at archery, pistol shooting, go-karts and the new pirates golf. Many thanks to the parents who accompanied the boys to make the evening possible.

Cubs, Scouts and Beavers are reminded that the money for the pantomime trip to Swansea should be paid in as soon as possible.

Thanks to those people who helped and supported the recent jumble sale, a total of £116 was raised.

The group is still looking for leaders. If you are able to assist, please ring Mo Crockford on 842136.
