Tenby Sea Cadets have had a very busy period to finish 2017.

A group of cadets have been promoted to Ordinary Cadet. Well done Ioan, Brandon, Rhys, Matt, Charlie, Finley, Nial, and Tegan (pictured), a great achievement for you all and this will be followed by a Btec Level 1 certificate.

Cadets attended training in Llanelli, the shooting competition and the National Trafalgar Parade in London. They also took part in the inter unit (West Wales) five-a-side football competition and were runners-up in the junior boys section. Very well done.

At the recent South West Area conference, held in Bristol, it was announced that the unit was the runner-up in the Community Social Action Award for 2017. This reflects the work and effort the unit puts into being involved in Tenby and the surrounding area. The unit’s Commanding Officer, Lt (SCC) Roy Broxham RNR, was presented with a third clasp to his cadet forces medal, which means at least 30 years of uniformed service to the cadet forces. A good number of West Wales units were represented at the conference.
