Tenby's inshore lifeboat has had a busy few days.

Milford Haven Coastguard requested the launch of the Georgina Taylor on Friday afternoon to assist in the search for two young children reported missing in the South Beach area.

After an extensive search by the lifeboat, lifeguards, police and Tenby coastguard rescue team, the children were spotted close to their caravan at their campsite. The lifeboat returned to station.

After a member of the public had slipped on rocks and sustained a head injury at Wiseman's Bridge on Monday, Milford Haven Coastguard requested the ILB to launch and give assistance.

On arrival, paramedics were with the casualty and as RAF rescue helicopter 169 was in the area on a training exercise, they transferred the casualty to hospital.

On the same day, the ILB was launched again after Milford Haven Coastguard received a report of a capsized sailing dinghy with one person clinging to it off Coppet Hall, Saundersfoot.

On arrival, the volunteer crew of the lifeboat recovered the person from the water into the lifeboat. They then righted the dinghy, with one crew member staying with the craft during the transfer back to the beach. The casualty was unharmed.

Also in attendance were RNLI lifeguards and members of Tenby coastguard rescue team.
