The Saundersfoot Probus Club enjoyed a conducted tour of St. David's Cathedral on September 19; the trip was organised by John Whiting. The members heard many historical facts about the cathedral and were surprised to see many of the relics surviving from the past.

On September 26, a quiz morning, organised by David Harley, was held at the Saundersfoot Sports Club. The quizmaster was Ian Nicholls, a local Rotarian and master at organising quizzes. This was followed by an excellent buffet lunch provided by the club.

Finally, the proceeds of a picture donated to Saundersfoot Probus Club by Wing Commander John Tipton, which had been auctioned at a recent meeting, together with a donation by the club, was presented by cheque to Pam Harley, who accepted it on behalf of the Macmillan Nurses cancer fund. All members were delighted to see David Harley's excellent recovery and the great contribution he makes to the club.

The Saundersfoot Probus Club continues to provide a forum for retired or semi-retired Saundersfoot and district people to discuss topics of mutual interest. External speakers are invited to give talks on a diverse range of subjects aimed at the interests of the members.

Meetings are held every second and fourth Wednesday of the month in a convivial atmosphere at the Sports Club, Regency Hall, Saundersfoot. The club's activities include outings to places of interest, lunches etc., when wives and friends are invited to participate.

The club's fees are only £10 a year and a warm reception awaits any new members who would like to join an organisation geared to put that little extra excitement in their social life. Just ring James Morris (Penally) on 01834 842234 or John Parker (Reynalton) on 01834 891471.
