Walker sustains facial injuries

A 63-year-old man sustained facial injuries after falling on the coast path between Saundersfoot and Wiseman's Bridge shortly after 2 pm on Tuesday. The man, who was from Salford, was airlifted to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, by the Wales Air Ambulance.

Skateboarder airlifted to hospital

A 14-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital by the Wales Air Ambulance on Wednesday after falling off his skateboard near Pendine Holiday Park. The teenager, who was on holiday at the park with his parents, had fallen earlier in the day. In the second incident, he fell hitting his head and elbow knocking himself unconscious for a time and when he came round, he suffered a fit. Coastguards from Tenby were called to incident at 12.25 pm and secured a landing site for the helicopter which took him to West Wales General Hospital, Carmarthen.

Eagle-eyed lifeboat mechanic spots girls in trouble

Tenby's eagle-eyed lifeboat mechanic Steve Lowe raised the alarm on Thursday afternoon after spotting three girls cut off by the tide between First Point and Waterwynch. Coastguards from the town and the resort's inshore lifeboat crew were tasked to the incident at 4.45 pm. The girls, two aged 11 and one 14, who were staying at Rowston Caravan Park, New Hedges, were duly picked up by the inshore crew and landed safely back at Waterwynch. "The girls were walking from Tenby back to Waterwynch, having walked the route earlier in the day, when they got cut off by the tide," said Dave Miller, sector manager for HM Coastguard South Pembs. He added: "This incident serves as a warning to walkers to always check the tide times before setting off."

Fractured leg

A 38-year-old climber suffered a fractured leg whilst at the bottom of the cliff at Saddle Head, one mile west of St. Govan's Head, on Friday evening. Coastguard teams from St. Govan's, Tenby and Manorbier went to his aid at around 6 pm, and the man, who was from Bristol, was flown to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, by the Wales Air Ambulance.

Climber airlifted to hospital

A climber fell 40 feet down the cliff at Stennisford, between St. Govan's Head and Huntsman's Leap, sustaining arm and head injuries on Saturday afternoon.

The 20-year-old man who was from the Manchester area was airlifted to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, by the Wales Air Ambulance. Coastguard teams from Tenby and Manorbier also attended the incident which occurred shortly before 3 pm.

SLIPPED ON ALGAE

A 65-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital by the Wales Air Ambulance on Sunday after falling on algae whilst out walking with her daughter at Garron Pill, near Lawrenny. Coastguards from Tenby were also called to the incident and were involved in evacuating the woman, who was from London, to the air ambulance, which took her to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.

Fish hook stuck in foot

A nine-year-old girl got a fish hook stuck in her foot whilst on Tenby's South Beach on Sunday afternoon.

The resort's coastguard team, who were on patrol in the area, evacuated the girl who was from York, to South Beach car park, from where she was taken to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, by ambulance.
