Cubs have recently completed their 'first response' proficiency badge. Thanks to paramedic Phil Thomas for visiting the pack for four weekly meetings to ensure that all Cubs had a good level of understanding of first aid.
Thanks also to Will Crockford and Gavin Brace for demonstrating and encouraging the Cubs to improve their physical fitness by exercise. The Cubs had fun timing each other and all improved on their earlier times.
The Beavers recently enjoyed a visit to Heatherton where they all had a go at several of the activities.
Last Friday, both Cubs and Beavers visited Tenby Swimming Pool to attempt swimming proficiency badges and have fun in the training pool.
Tomorrow (Saturday) morning, the Cubs and Beavers will be in the Market from 9.30 am selling daffodils for Mothering Sunday. It is hoped that this event will be well supported.
Last year, the Scout troop unfortunately had to be disbanded through lack of leaders. To date, only one has come forward to restart the troop. This is a shame because there are boys who would like to become Scouts. Anyone interested in becoming a leader should contact Group Scout Leader Mrs. Mo Crockford on (01834) 842136.
Many thanks to all parents and grandparents for their continuing support of the group.
