A very big thank you to all the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who attended the Remembrance Sunday service at St. Issell's, Saundersfoot. It was one of the best turnouts for many years, so thank you everyone. Flag carriers and colour parties were: Beavers - Thomas Emanuel, Ollie James and Max James; Cubs - Brittany Rolfe, Elliot Jenkins and Frankie James; Scouts - Ben Prestwich, Niall Rolfe and Tarn Whitehead. The wreath was laid by Beaver Georgia Thompson, accompanied by Cub Kyran Kellie and Scout Alex Smith. Two of the Scouts helped two of the veterans to lay their wreathes. Thank you boys. Since September, each section has been busy with their programmes. Beavers have been on visits to a working farm, while Cubs have been on walks and horse riding, doing emergency aid and other badges. They are now looking forward to some cooking! Scouts have been camping in Manorbier for the JOTA weekend with rifle-shooting competitions. Tomorrow (Saturday), a few of the members are taking part in the Showtime in Folly Farm, Begelly, along with two of the leaders! Other acts include Tenby Male Voice Choir, Pennar School Choir, Unison dancers and soloists. Tickets can be bought at the door. Everyone is looking forward to the main fund-raiser of the year, which is bag-packing at the Co-op on Saturday, December 22. Thanks to the generosity of the shoppers, the group raises a lot of money doing this. Numbers are growing in Beavers and Cubs, but this gives the problem of not enough leaders, so if you have a spare hour or two and would like to help the groups, telephone Daphne Gwyther on (01834) 813132.
