Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, made a festive season visit to Woodland Lodge Residential Home, Gumfreston.

Accompanied by her mace bearers, Rob Scanlon and John Morgan, Clr. Mrs. Lane is seen here with Mr. Ronald Manson, the home's oldest resident at 96 years young!

Visiting on Christmas Eve, the civic party very kindly distributed presents amongst the residents as Father Christmas was very busy that day!

The visit of the local dignitaries was one of a number of Christmas events at Woodland Lodge.

The Inner Wheel of Tenby also visited and members were persuaded to perform an impromptu carol singing session, along with staff and residents at the home. A good time was had by all and mulled wine and mince pies were served afterwards. The club is thanked for their visit.

St. Johns Church choir, meanwhile, performed a fantastic carol service, with residents, staff and visitors joining in to accompany them. Mulled wine and mince pies were again served after the service and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon was had by all. Thanks go to all the choir members who gave up their time to perform for the residents.

The residents' Christmas party, with entertainment being performed by the home's regular artists, also brought plenty of merriment, with many residents, visitors, staff and their families enjoying a dance and singing along to the music.

A finger buffet was provided and mulled wine was served after the performance. A big thank you to all who attended and participated to make it such a great party.

Thanks also go to local businesses, including Seafront Pharmacy, Priory Farm Shop, Heatherton, The Dinosaur Park, Vincent Davies, Andrew Rees Butchers, Trevors' Hairdresser (Pembroke), The Beach Hut (Pembroke), staff and visitors who donated items for the Christmas raffle, and also to staff, who during their Christmas party, were involved in an impromptu auction of a donated prize which raised extra money and was put into the total amount raised of £247 for residents' funds, which goes towards outings and activities for residents.
