It's been a term of change at Tenby's Greenhill Centre. Pembrokeshire County Council's Community Education Service was re-organised in January, in order to respond to legislation emanating from the National Assembly.
Although Adult Education and Youth still share the same buildings, they are managed separately and Community Education officers have assumed new responsibilities.
Rosemary Tippett Maudsley is now Lifelong Learning Area Co-ordinator for South Pembrokeshire with responsibility for the Coronation Centre at Pembroke Dock as well as Greenhill Centre. She also has a county responsibility for Staff and Curriculum Development. So if anyone has ideas for new courses, she's the person to contact.
David Walker is the Area Youth Co-ordinator and oversees Youth Work in Pembroke, Pembroke Dock and Tenby. The Youth Service locally is expanding and Anthony Harries was appointed as a full-time youth worker for the Tenby area at the end of February. So it looks as if Greenhill Centre is going to be busier than ever.
As far as Adult Education is concerned, the summer term offers a whole range of new computer courses as well as some traditional courses which are continuing from previous terms. Anyone wanting advice on any of these courses is encouraged to contact the Centre on 843297.
