Trefoil members enjoyed a productive morning in November making decorations for a tree which will become part of St Johns Church Festival of Christmas Trees, and working on a church kneeler which, it is hoped, will be presented to St Mary’s Church in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the formation of Lower Landsker Trefoil Guild.

2023 promises to be another busy year because members will also be celebrating the 80th birthday of Trefoil UK, and the centenary of Tenby Brownies and Guides. If anyone has any photos or memorabilia of their time in Tenby Brownies and Guides, and would be happy for it to be included in the Centenary exhibition in March, please contact any member of Trefoil.

But, before all that, to end 2022, 14 members enjoyed a delicious Christmas meal at Trefloyne. Good food, good wine and great company! It was especially pleasing to have Jackie and Dorothy, and everyone was delighted with Chairman Margaret’s surprise Christmas stockings, and Barbara’s festive pin brooches. A fitting end to a happy year of friendship and fun.

Many Trefoil members have been Guide and Brownie leaders in the past, and they are always happy to help the units with fund-raising and support. On Saturday, December 17 they will be hosting a coffee morning in the Scout and Guide Hall from 10 until 12 to raise funds for the Hall maintenance. All are welcome to enjoy coffee and mince pies, and to try to win a beautiful Christmas hamper in the raffle.

The next meeting will be Lower Landsker AGM and that will take place on Wednesday, January 4 at 11 am in the Scout and Guide Hall.

Margaret and all the members of Trefoil would like to thank the Tenby Observer for their support throughout the year, and to wish them and everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2023.
