Kiln Park, the Gulf-branded filling station situated at the entrance to Kiln Park Holiday Centre, is up for an accolade at the Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards, the Oscars of petrol retailing.

The coveted fuel industry awards are judged by criteria including the demonstration of entrepreneurial skill and dedication in running a successful business as well as elements such as customer service and role within the community. Kiln Park has been nominated in the West Country & Wales category.

Ramsay MacDonald, retail director of Certas Energy, the largest supplier to independent fuel retailers in Britain, including a network of over 500 Gulf-branded forecourts, has congratulated Kiln Park on its nomination.

“The station is a real asset to the Gulf network,” he explained. “Its nomination for this award is testament to that and the hard work the team put in day in, day out. The competition is intense and there is a tough selection process, demonstrating what a fine example Kiln Park is within the industry.”

The winners will be announced in true ‘Best of British’ style in the Grand Ballroom at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Thursday, September 15, where 800 guests, comprising the cream of the industry, will gather for the most prestigious fixture of the UK petrol retailing calendar.
