Aldi store manager, Sarah Pudsey opened the doors to the new Aldi Pembroke Dock store on London Road on Thursday, at 8 am, and welcomed over 150 people through the doors.

To celebrate the opening, golden envelopes were handed to the first 100 customers in the queue, each containing tickets to win a range of prizes, including a 32’’ DVD/TV combi star prize, £100 and £50 hampers and Aldi goodie bags.

Primary school poster competition winner, Ben Clark from Pembroke Dock Community School also attended the store opening to reveal their winning poster design and receive their prize of a laptop notebook 11.6 and £100 for their school. Sausage and bacon sandwiches, along with tea and coffee were also available complimentary for customers on opening morning.

In the coming weeks, Aldi will be donating a range of products to the Pembroke Dock Sea Cadets to help them with their forthcoming activities.

The new store, located on London Road has created 32 jobs for the local community.

Store manager, Sarah Pudsey said: “We were really pleased with the turnout at the store this morning. It was great to meet so many new customers and we hope everyone enjoyed the deals available in store.”
