Women and lone parents who are interested in starting a new venture in Pembrokeshire are invited to join a free workshop at Carrington's Restaurant, The Atlantic Hotel, Tenby on Tuesday, October 12. The workshop will run from 9.30 am to 3 pm and light refreshments are provided. These sessions are designed to encourage and support women and lone parents who are considering starting their own business or maybe need a change in their life and are unsure in which direction to turn. The one-day workshop aims to raise confidence levels, provide mutual support as well as exploring ideas of self-employment. Enterprise development manager, Lois Poynting, said: "The workshops will be presented in an informal, relaxed atmosphere, with the emphasis placed on helping women to realise their existing skills and potential." The project, managed by Chwarae Teg, is funded by Europe and the Welsh Development Agency and is part of the Potentia project, managed by the WDA.
