FOR the second time in four years Pembrokeshire College business students have seen off rivals from Wales, the West and the Midlands and bagged the Top Team trophy, as well as the Presentation Trophy, in this year's Business Incentive Scheme awards.

"This is no mean feat," said lecturer Ann Phillips, "as the competition covers such a large geographic area.

"In fact, since the Business Incentive Scheme started four years ago a team from Pembrokeshire College has always won a prize."

The go-getting business administration students amassed a profit of £1,700 for the charity Barnardo's running a service offering photocopying, laminating, binding and typing - and work is still pouring in.

"These students have worked exceptionally hard and really deserve this award," added Jan Thomas.

The 12 members of the Pembrokeshire team are mature students, all of whom are juggling their NVQ 3 business studies course with caring for families, and often having a part-time job as well.
