A Tenby website, which gives the public information on stocks and shares, took a huge step into the financial big time this week. A massive investment from fans of the site means that Sharecrazy.com is now one of the world's top sites for armchair share traders. For the first time, people will be able to see share prices change in real time before their eyes as the Stock Exchange relays the changes directly to Sharecrazy.com. "It's amazing when you consider that the new Sharecrazy was made possible by a few supporters, many of them living in this part of the world," said Malcolm Stacey, who lives in Crackwell Street. "To start with, we had very few people logging on, but now we have scores of thousands. We decided there was a huge demand out there and we needed to expand. "On thing led to another and we got some top website designers, using the very latest computer techniques. It's no exaggeration to say that Sharecrazy.com is now one of the most developed financial sites in the world - and certainly one of the most popular sites in Wales." Sharecrazy.com also allows people to trade on line at cut-rates. "We saw no reason why people should continue to pay high rates of commission. We are a site run by share dabblers for share dabblers," said Malcolm. The latest venture of the site is to arrange top quality sporting days out combined with a seminar for people who want to earn more money from share trading. The first 'Crazy Day' is a Spurs match on February 5, with a top class meal and a chance to meet the players. Malcolm, an author and broadcaster, predicts that 2005 will be a boom year for shares. "When the house market falls, money comes back into shares instead - and that looks very possible next year," he said.
