A Preseli bus service is proving a boon to locals and visitors allowing much-needed access to areas in the north of the county.
The bus service is part of a project funded by the Welsh Assembly Government's Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) and provides a twice- weekly 'Dial a Ride' route serving the Preseli Hills and surrounding communities.
The 16 seater minibus offers wheelchair access and links with public transport routes in Crymych and Newport.
Speaking of the service, project manager, Caroline Wilson, said: "Hopefully many people in the Preseli area will be familiar with the Preseli Green Dragon bus, which has proved to be extremely popular with a number of users, including walkers, visitors to the county and local residents.
"We're hoping to build on this success and encourage even more people to use the bus, which provides access to some of the most beautiful parts of Pembrokeshire."
An information leaflet detailing the service has been produced and distributed to many households in the Preseli area. Copies can also be obtained from Tourist Information offices.
The project is funded by the SDF managed locally by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority with Pembrokeshire County Council providing the vehicle running costs, officer time, graphic design and dial-a-ride services.
