A man who used verbal profanities and exposed himself in a temper after claiming he was being picked on by passengers on a bus to Pembroke Dock, has been fined by Haverfordwest magistrates.
Fifty-one-year-old Peter Frederick Stevens, of Observatory Avenue, Hakin, pleaded guilty to the charge of using threatening words and behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress, when he appeared before the court on Tuesday.
The prosecution explained that Mr. Stevens was arrested after the incident where he was removed from the bus, telling police officers that he had reacted to those who were picking on him on during the journey.
The defendant's solicitor, Mr. Jonathan Webb, said that his client had been on the receiving end of some taunts from passengers and, as well as reacting verbally, also exposed himself.
"Rather than making a hand gesture, he made it all of his own," Mr. Webb told the court, explaining that his client had suffered a form of brain injury some years ago which sometimes affected his behaviour.
Magistrates told Mr. Stevens that this was a very serious matter, especially as there had been a young child present on the bus journey.
He was fined £110 and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
