Yorkshire Building Society has given a helping hand to Golden Manor Infants School in Pembroke.
Staff at the Tenby branch recently nominated the autistic unit of the school to receive a donation from the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation.
Golden Manor is an infant's school in the vicinity of the branch area where a team of special needs teachers are meeting the needs of a small group of local autistic children.
The branch thought it would be wonderful to support this cause and therefore recommended the unit to the Charitable Foundation. The Foundation was delighted to agree the request and a donation of £285 will be used to provide a digital camera for use with their existing computer equipment and software.
Jan Haddleton, branch manager, said: "Support for local projects is something we feel strongly about. We were extremely pleased that the Foundation have been able to help such a great local cause. We do hope the contribution will help make a small difference to the children."
