The site at Brynhir in Tenby which has been earmarked for a local housing development is set to be discussed at a cabinet meeting of Pembrokeshire County Council on Monday.

Members of Tenby Town Council recently agreed to lodge a formal objection to proposals to exclude the land situated on Narberth Road, from the draft Local Development Plan (LDP) for 2021-31.

A development of 168 homes, combining a range of affordable housing options with local connection clauses, on the 15.7 acre land, has been touted.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Mike Evans said that the matter was due to be discussed in private at a cabinet meeting at County Hall in Haverfordwest next week.

“A report will come before the cabinet on Monday under the confidential part. Progress is taking place and things are now moving quite quickly,” he told his colleagues.
