A recommendation is being put forward at a meeting of Pembrokeshire County Council’s cabinet today that land at Brynhir in Tenby be disposed of.
The site, which is approximately 6.35 hectares and designated for housing (168 units), with up to 50 per cent affordable housing, was promoted and included in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority’s adopted Local Development Plan as a potential site for housing.
Members of Tenby Town Council were informed at their meeting last week by the town clerk that the proposal being put forward would declare the land surplus to the county council’s requirements and disposed of by means to be agreed, and on terms to be determined, by the authority’s director of development.
“The pressure put on them on this over the years seems to have worked,” commented Clr. Mike Evans.
